After a life of war and crime, Elijah returns home to Chicago and one night he awakens in a room in a strange hotel. A voice in a speaker box tells him that he’s on the sixth floor of the Hotel Erebus and the only way out is down to the first floor. The problem is that the hotel doesn’t want Elijah to leave and will do anything in its power to keep him there forever.
Hotel Erebus is already complete and ready to go to the printers. It begins to ship in a few weeks. If you pre-order Hotel Erebus now, the book will be in your mailbox by the end of January.
After Hotel Erebus has completed shipping in a few weeks, the next Kickstarter-First novella will be available. It’s called “CLEAVE” and is a fantasy action-adventure about the titular character, Cleave, and his quest to track down an elusive dragon egg and destroy it before what lives inside hatches and threatens the world of Estara. He must fight through goblins, ogres, harpies, dryads and a mad death cult lead by a dragon priestess to achieve his goal. Aided by a feisty young female goblin named Gishna, he will stop at nothing to destroy the egg.
Inspired by classic tales of Conan, Wagner’s Kane and Frank Frazetta’s Death Dealer, Cleave is going to be a fun ride.
CLEAVE is already halfway done. In a week, I’ve written 75 pages out of a proposed 150-155 page manuscript. The book should be done by mid-January as the Hotel Erebus Kickstarter ends.
I’m in the planning stages for two new Kickstarter-First novellas after Hotel Erebus and CLEAVE are completed and published on Amazon.
The next novella after CLEAVE will likely be an anime-inspired tale called Super Stellar Society about young demigods training to be unleashed on a world unprepared for their power. That novella should be available for pre-order in late February.
